Editing
My goals as an editor are to
- make your writing correct
- help you generate a
consistent tone and style, and
- replace chaos (or unruly organization) with order.
For me, grammar is the mathematics of language. In Grade 8, my idea of fun began when the grammar teacher gave us a parsing exercise--a chance to identify each part of speech in a sentence.
In 2001, I joined other professional editors as a member of the Editors’ Association of Canada. It's been my pleasure to attend four national conferences and to volunteer with my local chapter's professional development committee. Check out my listing on EAC’s on-line directory.
